Unibody and Frame Repair
The modern body shop has to have a state-of-the-art unibody and frame machine. This is where Miracle Workers Auto Collision Center’s Chief Titan 360 system exceeds industry standards. We also use an advanced laser targeting system and computer technology (Chief Meridian three-dimensional live measuring system) to bring your vehicle back to factory specifications.
The specialized targets are placed on “key” points on your post-crash vehicle. A laser then takes a measurement creating a 3D graphic of the damage. Our computer system has been programmed with the manufacturer’s factory specifications and a comparison is made. If the measurements are + or – .001mm different, then our trained technician uses the hydraulic towers to exert up to ten tons of pulling power each to bring your vehicle back to its factory shape.
We provide a full warranty on all services.
How do I know if my vehicle has frame or unibody damage after an accident?
Frame or unibody damage is not always visible from the outside. Signs can include uneven body gaps, steering or alignment problems, unusual tire wear, or a vehicle that does not seem to track correctly after a collision. Miracle Workers Auto Collision Center can inspect the vehicle to determine whether structural damage is present.
Can a vehicle with frame or unibody damage be repaired?
Many vehicles with structural damage can be professionally repaired. The appropriate repair depends on the location and severity of the damage and the vehicle manufacturer’s repair specifications. Miracle Workers uses specialized equipment and repair procedures to restore damaged structural components when repair is appropriate.
What is the difference between frame repair and unibody repair?
Traditional frame vehicles have a separate structural frame supporting the body, while most modern passenger vehicles use unibody construction in which the body and structural components work together. Both types require specialized measurements, equipment, and repair techniques after a significant collision.
Can frame damage affect my vehicle's alignment and handling?
Yes. Structural damage can affect suspension mounting points, wheel alignment, steering, tire wear, and how the vehicle handles. That is why properly evaluating the vehicle’s structure is an important part of collision repair following a significant impact.
